SUV, Sprinter or Mini Coach? Choosing Park City Group Transportation
MATCH THE VEHICLE TO YOUR GROUP AND LUGGAGE

Published November 3, 2026
The right vehicle for a Park City trip depends on the whole itinerary: people, luggage, equipment, pickup access and whether the group wants to stay together. This guide compares our SUV, new 2026 Sprinter and mini coach options so you can request a useful quote without guessing from a vehicle photo.
Start with the confirmed passenger capacity
- Luxury SUV: up to 5 passengers.
- New 2026 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: up to 11 passengers.
- Mini coaches: 36-passenger and 39-passenger options.
These are passenger capacities. Luggage and equipment space must be checked separately, and a particular vehicle is subject to availability. If you are choosing another van configuration from the fleet, ask us to confirm that vehicle’s exact seating and features.
When an SUV makes sense
An SUV can be a practical fit for a couple, a small family or a few business travelers. It is useful for SLC airport transfers to Park City, hotel pickups and dinner transportation when the passenger and luggage counts fit. Five people with several ski bags may need a different vehicle from five people carrying only small personal items.
Send your luggage count when requesting a luxury SUV. If you need a child seat, mobility accommodation or room for a stroller, confirm that before booking rather than treating the passenger maximum as a complete packing guide.
When to consider the 11-passenger Sprinter
Our new 2026 Sprinter gives a larger family or small group a way to travel together in one vehicle. Consider it for an airport arrival, a ski group, a corporate team or an event with a fixed schedule. Share the suitcase and equipment counts so we can confirm the loading arrangement. Ask about the specific vehicle’s seating and amenities rather than assuming every Sprinter has the same interior.
For a group landing on multiple flights, a single van may involve waiting for the final arrival. Compare that plan with separate pickups. The best arrangement is the one that fits the passengers’ actual schedules and luggage.
When a 36- or 39-passenger mini coach fits
A mini coach can suit larger wedding parties, corporate groups, reunions and organized outings. The choice between 36 and 39 seats should follow the confirmed headcount. Include organizers and accompanying guests in the total. Explain your baggage requirements and tell us about any equipment before choosing a vehicle.
Loading access matters for a larger vehicle. Share hotel entrances, event loading zones, private-driveway details and all planned stops. A small driveway or restricted venue entrance may require an agreed meeting point. Confirm the route and loading plan with us and the venue before giving instructions to guests.
One vehicle or several?
A single vehicle keeps a group together, but several vehicles may fit staggered flights or different return times. For example, a 30-person retreat arriving in three flight groups may benefit from separate airport pickups and a mini coach for a shared dinner. An 11-person group traveling with substantial ski equipment should have its luggage reviewed before assuming one Sprinter is enough.
Match the service to the schedule
Choose point-to-point transfers for fixed journeys. Ask about hourly service when the itinerary has multiple stops or requires a vehicle to remain available. For group transportation, identify one organizer who can confirm headcounts, meeting points and schedule changes. Discuss waiting time, additional stops and return arrangements in the quote.
